Newborn information Sheet

Congratulations on your sweet little baby. This is such a special time for you and your family. Thank you for letting me be a part of this exciting time.

Newborn sessions are done in my home studio in Charleston, South Carolina

I prefer to do the newborn sessions between 5-8 days new, no later than 14 days. This way baby is still super squishy and super sleepy for the session, and we can get some great sleepy baby shots.

Please bring baby well fed, burped and super sleepy. It may help to keep baby awake an hour or so before the session. Try and give baby a little sponge bath the night before the session. This way baby looks nice and fresh. If you are not able to do these things that is just fine too. I want these sessions to be easy for you and baby. It's hard enough getting out of the door on photo daytime so no pressure. You are also welcome to nurse, fed, and change baby during anytime of the session. If baby needs a cuddle brake. We can take time to make sure baby is comfort, calm and happy for the whole session.

It can get very warm in the session space. It can get up to 80 degrees. This is so baby is nice and cozy. This helps baby to be sleepy and that's when we get them sweet sleepy baby shots.

The only thing you need to bring is a well-fed baby, a few diapers and a binkie if your baby takes one. I will do the rest.

I provide wraps, diaper covers, headbands, hats etc.

If you would like family photos as well, you can bring an outfit. Most of the shots I do are "natural baby style " That would be as natural as baby will let us get ... that could be Nakie baby, bottom shots, wraps or diaper covers.

If you are doing Family / Sibling along with newborn photos.

Please have a plan for siblings for after we are done with their photos. Its best to have dad, Grandparent or help take the siblings away from the studio for the Newborn only shots. It can get very long and boring for them. This will also give us a nice quite space for us to work and get the nice sleepy baby images. The studio is a very relaxing space, its warm, I play soft music and mom can just set in mu big comfy chair and rest while I do all the work.
