Boudoir  FAQ

Q: How should I pose?

A: I offer "Pose Coaching" I  always have a few pose ideas  in mind for your session. Practice in the mirror to see what looks best.  Look at your face and your expressions.  where your hands are when you are in a pose, think of best way to show off your assets.  I will be there to coach you on what looks best for the camera.

Q :Who can come to my session?

A: Anyone is welcome to your session. I do have to recommend maybe one person , but I would say just keep it the client and the photographer . This provides one on one time  and we can really focus on the shots you are wanting . The more people the more input there are and I can be a distraction. But you are definitely able to bring who ever you would like.

Q: How far in advance should I plan if I want to give the photos as a gift?

A: I recommend doing your photo shoot 3-6 weeks before you plan on giving it as a gift. I book abut 2-4 weeks out, 1-2 weeks for editing and then he print time is depending on your timeline.

Q : Do you need a deposit to reserve my photo shoot?

A: Yes, I need a non-refundable half down  retainer to reserve your session time and date. The remaining  fee is due the day of the session.

Q:Will my images be shown on your website or in your studio?

A:The images shown on my website, blog and in-studio displays are shown with the client's permission only.

Q:My session is booked — how do I prepare?

A: In preparation for your shoot, please think of the following things: Hair touch-ups, waxing, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedicure, tanning and moisturizing.

Q:I'm a little uncomfortable about nudity?

A: Nudity is certainly not necessary and I will not push you to go further than you feel comfortable with. Sexy isn't always about how much you show, it's all about how you show it! Most men feel that leaving something to the imagination is much sexier than baring it all.

Q: I am  Feeling nervous or self conscious about having a boudoir session?

A:There's no need worry, it's natural to feel this way. I will guide you through each pose and know exactly which angles to capture for all body types to make you look like the beautiful woman you are. I'll show you how to get those sexy poses and sultry looks. My sessions are designed to allow plenty of time to relax and feel comfortable which really shows in the final images. So leave everything up to me, just relax and enjoy

{Helpful tips}

Drink lots of  water the week before your shoot. It helps your skin stay moisturized.

Spend some time on pinterest and see what types of outfits/images are out there.

Put together a Sexy music play list. You can use some songs that will get you in a sexy mood. Some songs that you and your man enjoy together.  Songs to loosen you up. Nice slow romantic music is wonderful as well. If you are a Bride to be consider using music you be playing at your wedding.  I have a nice mix available as well.

Make sure to wear loose fitting clothing an hour prior and on the way to the shoot. Tight clothes, like bras, can create unwanted lines on your skin. Also, maybe wear a button or zip up shirt as to not disturb your hair.

shave/wax everything that needs it!

Go for the hair and make-up. My make-up artists are wonderful, and yes it makes a huge difference. Besides getting more time to come and relax before your session, they know what kind of make-up looks good in photographs.

Think about your nails. If you have polish, make sure that it looks nice and isn’t chipped. In general, I think that more subtle looks are better; french, light pink, or nude.

Give yourself some time before the shoot; take a hot bath, pamper yourself, let yourself become the calm, confident goddess you are.

Please make sure to COMMUNICATE! This shoot is all about you and the most important thing is that you are comfortable and having a good time.

Don’t forget to also bring other props and items such as stockings, jewelry, or props you might want to use during the shoot and be creative when choosing outfits. Even something as simple as a cardigan can be beautiful!

Please don’t worry too much. We’re going to have a fun time and create beautiful images together.

Q: What should I wear?

You know what you like and you know what looks good and makes you feel sexy, which is why I ask you to bring a wide variety of wardrobe choices.  I tell every woman to bring her favorite lingerie, and at least one solid bra & panty set, but really,  Don't limit yourself to just lingerie. This is a time to have fun and try something you've always wanted to wear. Military jacket , hat and dog tags, Collar shirt and tie, Your favorite little dress, coziest sweater, superhero underwear, lace corset, latex jumpsuit, Mardi Gras headdress...I could keep going, but you get the idea.  I do suggest you bring more than you think you will need or want, and during our consultations, we can discuss wardrobe we will use for the session.
